Marc Zimmet is President & CEO of Zimmet Healthcare Services Group. Marc entered the skilled nursing industry in 1993, beginning his career preparing Medicare cost reports and appeals. His firm now services a diverse client base of approximately 3,000 post-acute care providers and industry stakeholders on matters relating to reimbursement-compliance, quality improvement, regulatory management and market reform. Marc is an active member of many industry associations and serves on the Board of several healthcare provider, insurance and support companies.

Mr. Zimmet is also CEO of Z Capital, LLC. The firm’s investment vehicle maintains equity and management positions in companies that develop care/claims management analytics, Medicare Special Needs Plans, outsourced case management and post-acute care & hospice providers. Most notably, Z Capital founded CORE Analytics in 2018. CORE aggregates, benchmarks and qualifies Medicare SNF UB-04 claim data for over 1,000 SNFs. Much of the PDPM source material for his programs today are drawn from this database.

The rapid transformation of the post-acute care market gave rise to ZHSG’s Transaction Advisory Division. After working successfully with Greystone on a number of deals many advisors described as “impossibly challenging,” Marc exclusively aligned Zimmet Healthcare with Greystone and serves as a Managing Director in their healthcare lending group. The Zimmet-Greystone alliance significantly enhances value, mitigates risk and includes post-closing support for buyers and sellers of skilled nursing facilities.

Marc holds an Accounting degree from Syracuse University and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the Zicklin School of Business / Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
