William “Rick” Abrams currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Wisconsin Health Care Association/Wisconsin Center for Assisted Living (WHCA/WiCAL). With more than 15 years working in the long-term care profession, Rick brings forward a wealth of sector experience including prior work as the New Jersey State Ombudsman for the Institutionalized Elderly, with the Health Care Association of New Jersey and with the American Health Care Association/National Care for Assisted Living.

Rick’s additional professional experience includes over 15 years representing the medical profession with the Medical Society of the State of New York, Wisconsin Medical Society and American Medical Association.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey.
