Bio
Brent Willett is President & CEO of the Iowa Health Care Association. IHCA and its affiliates and divisions and affiliates, the Iowa Center for Assisted Living, Iowa Center for Home Care, Iowa Health Care Quality Partners, Iowa Center for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care, Extended Care Services of Iowa, Iowa Health Political Action Committee, and the Iowa Health Care Foundation serve the long-term services and supports profession as a nonprofit trade association. IHCA’s more than 1,000 member organizations span the continuum of long-term services and supports health care in Iowa. In his role, Willett is responsible to the IHCA Board of Directors for overseeing the strategic vision for IHCA. Brent maintains a proactive role in legislative and government affairs, media, regulatory and reimbursement affairs. He also serves as the association’s liaison to the American Health Care Association.

Prior to his role at IHCA, Willett served as Executive Director of America’s Cultivation Corridor, a public-private regional economic development and innovation acceleration organization focused on growing Central Iowa’s agriculture and bioscience sectors via the attraction of investment, jobs, and talent to the state.

Prior to his role at the Cultivation Corridor, Willett served as President & CEO of the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation, a regional economic development group in North Central Iowa headquartered in Mason City, Iowa. Preceding his role at the North Iowa Corridor, Willett was Executive Director of the Fairfield Economic Development Association and Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce in Fairfield, Iowa. He began his career at the Iowa Department of Economic Development, serving as Senior Prospect Manager.

Willett currently serves on the American Society of Health Care Executives Board of Directors; the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living [AHCA/NCAL] Regional Multifacility Council; the AHCA/NCAL Business Management Committee; and in advisory positions with several organizations. He is a 2017 Development Counsellors International 40 Under 40 honoree; 2015 Des Moines Business Record 40 Under 40 honoree; Past President of the Professional Developers of Iowa; and past officer of Leadership Iowa. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.

Willett is a native of Davenport, Iowa. He lives with his wife Emily and daughters Kate and Ellie in Ankeny, Iowa.
